About the role#
Ithaca College is hiring a Fitness Center Facility Monitor to support the Office of Campus Recreation. This is a paid, on-site student position. You will work 6 to 12 hours per week, with a maximum of 20 hours available. The role is primarily scheduled during the academic year, and summer availability is optional.
What you'll do#
- Staff the exercise area to ensure a safe environment for all members.
- Greet members and explain facility rules.
- Manage the check-in and check-out process for rental equipment.
- Set up for events and activities.
- Clean fitness equipment and wash towels as part of routine maintenance.
What you'll need#
- A current CPR/AED certification.
- Experience in customer interaction.
- Knowledge of fitness equipment maintenance.
- The ability to maintain a safe workout environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
- Majors in Kinesiology, Health Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration are preferred.

- Pay rate: $16.00 per hour.
