About the role#
The Ithaca Care Collective is hiring a Work Study student to support the West Village Community Drop-In. This role provides childcare in a community-based setting, helping to maintain a welcoming space for local families. You will work directly with children and assist with the daily operations of the program.
What you'll do#
- Spend time playing with children ages 18 months to 5 years.
- Guide children through activities like reading, art, sensory play, and outdoor games.
- Help set up and clean up daily materials and activity spaces.
- Welcome families to the center to ensure an inclusive environment.
- Work with staff and volunteers to maintain safety and follow program guidelines.

- Location: West Village Community Drop-In, Ithaca, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $17.00 per hour.
- Eligibility: This position is open only to students awarded Federal Work Study.
- Schedule: You must be available for one of the following options: M/W/F 8:30am-12:30pm, M/W/F 9:00am-12:00pm, or M-F 9:00am-12:00pm.
