About the role#
J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking students for our Accounting Team during the Winter 2027 term. This role provides hands-on experience in financial reporting, business operations, and process improvement while working alongside finance professionals. You will gain exposure to the daily functions of a large finance team and participate in professional development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities.
- Perform accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Complete account reconciliations, analysis, and compliance-related tasks.
- Use technology and analytical tools to support reporting and process improvements.
- Complete a work term project and collaborate with other students across the business.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a University Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance program in good academic standing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
