About the role#
We are hiring Electrical Engineering students for the Winter 2027 term. You will join our Pulp and Paper Division to support mill operations and engineering projects. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with contractors and mill personnel to plan and execute work packages.
- Develop detailed scopes of work for electrical and IT installations, including scan card access systems, temporary power (120 V - 600 V), and network infrastructure.
- Oversee the installation of low to medium voltage equipment and instrumentation while monitoring safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
- Assist Systems Engineers with the maintenance, programming, and configuration of Mill Control Systems.
- Use software tools including AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Excel, and various document management systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering degree program with good academic standing.
- A safety-first mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A long-term interest in pursuing a career in engineering.
