About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April. You will work on-site in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, gaining hands-on experience within the manufacturing environment of the J.D. Irving, Limited Construction & Equipment Division. You will be paired with a manager focused on your professional development and will have opportunities to network with other students and senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Support Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Assist with project planning, tracking, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Utilize ERP systems and business intelligence tools to analyze operational performance.
- Support process documentation, workflow mapping, and standardization efforts.
- Participate in safety initiatives, inspections, and continuous improvement activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in your second or third year of a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Experience with technical drawings, process mapping, or drafting software.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement, operations, manufacturing, or project management.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
