About the role#
As a Production Engineering Co-op Student, you will work within our manufacturing operations to support initiatives focused on optimizing production processes. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to projects that enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
What you'll do#
- Assist with process improvement projects to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to equipment performance and process variability.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams on cross-functional projects.
- Support equipment trials, process validations, and product testing activities.
- Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the development and updates of standard operating procedures and process documentation.
- Create reports, presentations, and recommendations based on project findings.
- Contribute to workplace safety initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
- Eligibility to participate in a recognized co-op or internship program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety and continuous learning.
