About the role#
This is a full-time, paid R&D internship based in Jacksonville, Florida, for the summer of 2027. You will work within the Vision organization, partnering with scientists and engineers to develop new products and technologies aimed at improving eye health. This role requires on-site attendance for the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
- Execute project assignments related to eye health products, enabling technologies, or internal R&D operations.
- Perform tasks involving fundamental research, characterization, and process or product development.
- Assist with clinical study execution, regulatory submissions, and the development of test methods or equipment.
- Collaborate with various technical disciplines to apply new equipment and processes.
- Advocate for the continuous improvement of internal systems.
- Evaluate and review project results across multiple functional groups.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Health Science, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to relocate to the Jacksonville area for the summer.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for future sponsorship.
- Prior work experience or experience in a relevant field, such as research assistant roles or specific coursework, is preferred.
