About the role#
This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship based on-site in Grain Valley, Missouri. You will work directly with the Production Planning, Material Planning, and Product Scheduling teams to support daily operations and ensure production schedules stay on track.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily planning tasks and help execute production schedules.
- Identify stranded inventory that has zero demand and work with other teams to create rework plans.
- Use material availability tools to spot bottlenecks and improve lead times for specific parts.
- Proactively find material shortages and manage escalations for manufactured parts that fall outside standard planning windows.
- Compile and analyze supply chain performance metrics to find areas for process improvement.
What you'll need#
- You are currently entering your Junior year of college.
- You are pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- You have a basic understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically using Excel pivot tables and formulas.
- You can analyze large datasets to identify trends and shortages.
- You have strong organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks at once.
