About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering. You will work alongside experienced professionals to design, evaluate, and protect enterprise systems and networks. The role focuses on ensuring that infrastructure operates in alignment with security standards and best practices.
What you'll do#
- Support the evaluation, design, and protection of enterprise systems, networks, and security infrastructure.
- Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities across applications, systems, and new technology initiatives.
- Develop policies and procedures for securing system infrastructure.
- Assist in the oversight, testing, and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software.
- Perform product evaluations and recommend services for network security.
- Interact with clients to provide recommendations on information assurance engineering standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (such as Information Technology or Computer Information Systems with a focus on Network or Communications).
- A solid understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security infrastructure, including firewalls, IPSec, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Familiarity with system security topics like authentication, cryptography, access control, and application security.

- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule (80 hours over 9 days, with every other Friday off).
- This position is paid and full-time.
