About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Rochester, New York. You will join our team to assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring manufacturing status. You will help move products through the entire production cycle to meet customer requirements. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over nine days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet delivery schedules.
- Use the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to track material availability, release shop orders, and maintain inventory records.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to execute the build schedule.
- Resolve shortages, backlogs, and other schedule interruptions.
- Update make item lead times and manage floor stock for program components.
- Provide hardware status updates and performance statistics to the program team.
- Interface with engineering, program management, and external customers to advise on work in progress.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Recent graduates who completed their bachelor degree within the last 12 months are also eligible.
- Strong computer and analytical skills, including the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and a working knowledge of relational databases.
- Familiarity with scheduling or supply chain planning is preferred.
