About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will work on the development and evaluation of complex system designs. You will analyze requirements from users and end systems to help shape project outcomes. This role involves communicating design plans and status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Perform operational analysis and create concepts of operations.
- Build design and implementation plans.
- Write test plans, procedures, and cases.
- Run tests and document the results.
- Use software tools, scripting, and hardware or software troubleshooting techniques.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Coursework or experience in systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, project management, or model-based systems engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with Rhapsody.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Lynchburg, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
