About the role#
Lincoln Electric is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for our automation facility in Plymouth, Michigan. This program connects your academic studies with hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing. You will participate in technical training, mentorship, and professional development workshops. This position includes a required Immersion Day at our Cleveland, Ohio headquarters, with all travel expenses covered by the company.
What you'll do#
- Develop custom manufacturing equipment based on specific customer requirements.
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and machinery.
- Design and implement automated systems for customer applications.
- Engineer robotic solutions to optimize our internal manufacturing processes.
- Conduct engineering analysis on mechanical designs to validate performance.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree or current enrollment in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.
