About the role#
The Mechanical Engineering Summer 2027 Internship at Lincoln Electric offers students hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing. Based in Gainesville, Georgia, this program connects your academic studies to real-world engineering projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers on research, development, and production support tasks.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with R&D engineers to support new product development.
- Review product designs to improve processes within our manufacturing environment.
- Create manufacturing processes for new products.
- Analyze and improve the quality and production of global products.
- Participate in an environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Work with teams on capital projects and production support.
- Select, specify, and implement equipment to improve product manufacturing.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.
- An interest in working within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
