About the role#
The Advocacy and Resource Center (ARC) provides personal support and assistance to help students succeed. This includes operating the Commodore Cupboard, a food pantry for students and the community. We are looking for student workers to assist in both the ARC office and the food pantry.
What you'll do#
You will serve as the first point of contact for visitors. Your responsibilities include greeting clients, registering them, signing them in, and helping them access services. You will also handle general office duties such as answering the phone and making copies. Additional tasks involve assisting with campus events, cleaning, stocking items, and performing data entry. You must maintain strict confidentiality in all interactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in at least six credit hours with a 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Availability to work during the week
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Reliability, as others will depend on your presence
- Sensitivity to issues of poverty and basic needs insecurity
- Eligibility for Federal Work-Study is preferred
- Prior customer service experience is helpful but not required

This position is based in Elyria, Ohio. It is an on-site, part-time role with rolling start dates.
