About the role#
This position supports the LCCC student garden plot located at Baumhart Berry Farm. You will work outdoors to maintain the garden throughout the summer season. This role requires approximately two days of work per week during the farm's regular operating hours.
What you'll do#
- Water, weed, and harvest crops.
- Maintain raised garden beds.
- Monitor and report issues with deer fencing or other garden needs.
- Assist with additional garden tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an LCCC student.
- Reliable transportation to Baumhart Berry Farm in Vermilion.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to report issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfort performing outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions.
- An interest in gardening and effective time management.
