About the role#
As a Test Automation Intern at Lyft, you will work on tools that improve the experience for Lyft Urban Solutions riders. You will have ownership over your project while collaborating with engineers. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Montreal for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Own your project and provide regular updates to the team.
- Improve existing code through progressive refactoring.
- Ensure system reliability by writing unit, integration, and load tests.
- Participate in code reviews to share knowledge and maintain standards.
- Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science at a Canadian university.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Less than 2 years of full-time work experience if you are a master's student who worked between degrees.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with databases, mobile development, or solving real-time technology problems.
- A desire to learn and use AI tooling.
- Interest in community, sustainability, or transportation.
- Experience with integration testing and test automation is a plus.
- Contributions to open source projects are welcome.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Montreal, Quebec.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least 3 days per week in the office, specifically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- The pay range for this position is $34 to $36 CAD per hour.
