About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will join a team of data engineers to build and support data systems that inform business decisions. You will work with modern data tools to design and optimize pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable information while receiving mentorship from experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable data systems.
- Develop and support data pipelines and workflows.
- Assist with data ingestion, transformation, and preparation for analytics.
- Partner with engineering and business teams to define data requirements and build solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program for Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
- An interest in data engineering, including data processing and pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to learn in a collaborative setting.

- Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: January 5th to April 22nd, 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with in-office attendance required Tuesday through Thursday.
