About the role#
The Broadband Analog group at Marvell designs physical layer ICs for high-speed optical fiber data communication. As an intern, you will join a team focused on developing transimpedance amplifiers and drivers for data center and telecom markets. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform active-circuit design.
- Develop leading edge transimpedance amplifiers using SiGe BiCMOS and advanced CMOS technologies.
- Create transmission line structures and other millimeter wave structures.
- Design high-performance broadband analog circuits for optical front-end receivers.
- Develop other analog components such as linear regulators, AGC loops, current or voltage sensors, and bandgaps.
- Partner with functional groups to support post-silicon validation, qualification, and transition to production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MS or PhD program in electrical engineering with an emphasis on analog or mixed signal IC design.
- Proven experience in high-performance receiver design, including chip tape-out and lab evaluation.
- Proficiency with EDA CAD tools and analog custom layout.
- Experience measuring IC performance and debugging designs to correlate simulations with physical measurements.
- Deep understanding of transistor level design, device physics, and control loop stability.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
