About the role#
The Custom Cloud Solutions Hardware Validation Group manages the quality, reliability, and performance of data center ASIC and SoC products. As an intern, you will work in a hardware lab alongside engineers on silicon validation for high-speed interfaces and complex platform environments. This role involves end-to-end hardware validation, from early silicon bring-up to system-level qualification.
What you'll do#
- Assist in functional hardware validation and debug for platforms using high-speed interfaces.
- Support system bring-up by running test cases, collecting data, and documenting results.
- Write and execute automation scripts to streamline silicon testing and validation workflows.
- Operate lab equipment, including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes, for signal integrity analysis and system debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and reproduce hardware or protocol-level issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- A basic understanding of digital logic, computer architecture, or hardware design principles.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python or C.
- Ability to work in a hands-on lab environment.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Westborough, Massachusetts, Boise, Idaho, or Santa Clara, California.
