About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join the Data Center Engineering team to work on high-speed optical communication systems. You will assist in the validation of analog front-end designs, photonics integrated circuits, and board-level hardware. This role requires an on-site presence.
What you'll do#
- Develop hardware platforms for chip-level and sub-system performance evaluation.
- Execute engineering validation plans for optoelectronic components like TIAs and modulator drivers.
- Design test interfaces and probe solutions.
- Use Python to code and script automated measurements.
- Troubleshoot and verify board-level or chip-level designs.
- Document design results and generate reports for the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s Degree program for Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong fundamentals in RF and Microwave Engineering.
- Knowledge of transistor-level Analog design.
- Experience using test and measurement equipment including VNAs, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Programming proficiency in Python or C.
