About the role#
McKim & Creed is hiring an Engineering Student Intern for our Water/Wastewater team in High Point, North Carolina. This is a full-time, paid internship scheduled for Summer 2027. You will work on-site and report directly to a supervisor while supporting municipal water and wastewater projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical and design services for municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Conduct technical evaluations and prepare design computations and assessments.
- Assist in creating design and construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
- Coordinate technical evaluations and designs with the Project Manager and design team.
- Complete assigned design tasks within budget and on schedule.
- Perform technical writing for reports and project correspondence.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong organization, technical skills, and a process-oriented mindset.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow directives and coordinate efforts with a design team.
- A valid driver's license.
- An acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
