About the role#
Metallus Inc. is hiring a Thermal Treat Operations Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Canton, Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with our engineering, maintenance, quality, and operations teams.
What you'll do#
- Support production and continuous improvement projects within the Thermal Treat department.
- Monitor process performance and track production delays.
- Analyze productivity data to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement ways to increase efficiency and throughput.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Preferred majors include Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Aerospace, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering, as well as Physics, Material Science, or Metallurgical Engineering.
