About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program and lasts up to 12 weeks. You will work within the Regulated Bioanalytical Sciences group to support the development and implementation of assays for vaccine and biologic candidates. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in West Point, Pennsylvania, scheduled for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to miniaturize ligand-binding assays from a 96-well to a 384-well format.
- Analyze data to optimize assay performance and improve laboratory efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams across automation, bioanalytical, and assay development departments.
- Prepare technical summaries and present your project findings at the end-of-summer intern symposium.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Proficiency in basic techniques, including pipetting and solution preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
