About the role#
The Discovery Oncology team in Boston is looking for a student to join our Research and Development Division for a summer internship. You will work alongside a scientific mentor to characterize new therapeutic targets and molecules. This program lasts up to 12 weeks and provides an opportunity to contribute to oncology drug discovery projects.
What you'll do#
- Design, execute, interpret, and report in vitro experiments.
- Assist in developing, executing, and troubleshooting new cell-based assays.
- Collaborate with colleagues in medicinal chemistry, genetics, and pharmacology teams.
- Monitor and review published research to guide your own work.
- Communicate data clearly to team members and stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in at least a BS/BA degree program in biological sciences or a related field.
- Available for a full-time, 12-week commitment starting in May or June 2027.
- Experience with basic mammalian cell culture and laboratory procedures like pipetting and plate-based assays.
- Ability to perform accurate data analysis and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Strong interest in oncology drug discovery.
- Prior research experience is preferred.
