About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program within the Research and Development Division. You will join the Discovery Oncology team to characterize new therapeutic targets and molecules. You will work alongside a scientific mentor for up to 12 weeks to gain experience in oncology drug discovery.
What you'll do#
- Design, execute, interpret, and report on in vitro experiments.
- Develop, run, and troubleshoot new cell-based assays.
- Use techniques such as mammalian cell culture, proliferation assays, genomic perturbation, and flow cytometry.
- Review and interpret published research to inform your work.
- Communicate findings to your team and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and genetics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or BA degree program in biological or pharmaceutical sciences.
- Availability to work full-time for 12 weeks starting in May or June 2027.
- Prior research experience.
- Hands-on experience with basic lab procedures like pipetting, solution preparation, and plate assays.
- Experience with basic mammalian cell culture.
- Ability to perform accurate data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and clear oral and written communication skills.
- A strong interest in oncology drug discovery.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
