About the role#
This Co-op position is part of the Future Talent Program within the Infectious Diseases and Vaccines group. You will join our Research and Development Division for up to 6 months. This role offers hands-on experience working alongside scientists to develop medicines and vaccines for viral or bacterial diseases.
What you'll do#
- Participate in one or more research projects.
- Assist scientists in developing treatments and preventative measures for diseases.
- Use laboratory strategies to address viral and bacterial health challenges.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in biology or a related major.
- Experience with lab techniques like cell culture, transfection, bacterial handling, ELISAs, PCR, protein analysis, or DNA/RNA manipulation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Availability to work full-time on-site for up to 6 months starting in early June 2027.
- Preferred experience with immunological techniques such as ELISPOT, flow cytometry, or immunostaining.
- Preferred experience with virology or bacterial genetics.
- Familiarity with molecular biology software like DNASTAR or graphing software like GraphPad Prism.
