About the role#
The Summer Associate Internship is a 12-week program running from May 2027 through August 2027. You will support strategic initiatives within the Planning and Optimization function. This role provides direct exposure to how projects are planned, prioritized, and delivered in a large enterprise environment. You will work alongside project managers and business leaders to drive change and support operational goals.
What you'll do#
- Support project managers and business partners in planning, coordinating, and tracking strategic initiatives.
- Organize project information, facilitate meetings, manage action items, and prepare status reports.
- Coordinate activities across multiple business areas by participating in cross-functional meetings.
- Create executive-ready presentations, reports, and visual communications.
- Use AI-enabled tools to improve project efficiency, communication quality, and knowledge management.
- Support Agile delivery practices through planning sessions, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain project documentation, templates, and knowledge resources.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Participate in leadership development, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in business, project management, strategy, or related programs with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and foster productive working relationships.
- Ability to navigate differing perspectives and help teams reach informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple workstreams.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to think holistically.
- Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow through on commitments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Experience or familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks.
- Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, research, or project coordination.
- Ability to lead or coordinate people and initiatives through academic, professional, or extracurricular experiences.
Location & details#
- Location: Vienna, Virginia (On-site)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
