About the role#
The Operations Management Internship offers hands-on experience in the scrap metal recycling business. You will work alongside operations teammates and leaders to build fundamental knowledge of material identification, scrap processing, and facility logistics. The program helps you understand what a career in operations leadership looks like after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Participate in daily safety meetings and model safety policies and procedures.
- Learn scrap metal identification, buying, inspecting, processing, and inventory practices.
- Support daily facility operations, including material receiving and inbound and outbound coordination.
- Review operational data, identify trends, and recommend proactive improvements.
- Complete a summer-long business project and present recommendations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior or senior working toward a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing assignments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and work efficiently with team members.
- Ability to creatively solve problems.

- Note: You will work outside in extreme weather conditions in an industrial environment and must be willing to relocate post-graduation.
