About the role#
As an Electrician S&T B Intern, you will support the construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment, wiring, and structures. This role focuses on maintaining system reliability for the bulk and distribution high-voltage substation systems. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Install, repair, and maintain transmission and distribution circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment.
- Analyze and fix malfunctions in electrical and electronic systems.
- Work near or on energized equipment using live line tools and safety gear.
- Operate and maintain line switches, including performing switching and tagging orders.
- Prepare and process documentation to keep equipment records and databases up to date.
- Assist with training and support team safety procedures.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an A.A.S. program in Electronics or Electrical Power.
- Active enrollment and continued progress in the Transmission CAPS program.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work on-site.

This position is based on-site with locations including Dallas, Ft Worth, Odessa, Waco, and Tyler, Texas.
