About the role#
This is a 10-week, full-time internship at 40 hours per week. You will gain hands-on experience through immersive education and mentorship. Interns work on business-focused projects to support hospital operations while developing professional skills and networks.
What you'll do#
- Shadow administrative and professional units to understand hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in meetings with administrative staff and hospital committees.
- Complete business-focused projects and present outcomes to leadership.
- Prepare reports and maintain records for your assigned projects.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide service.
- Offer suggestions to management for improving services and processes.
- Work independently under the direction of leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Master’s Degree program in Hospital Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of hospital administration principles and practices.
- Familiarity with managerial techniques for office procedures, business communications, or public relations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with hospital staff and the public.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action.
