About the role#
The Student Tech PRN position at Oklahoma Children's Hospital supports diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures. You will work under immediate supervision to gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment. This is a paid, full-time role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with procedures using various cardiovascular and radiologic technologies.
- Prepare patients for their scheduled procedures.
- Perform tasks according to established clinical practice standards and protocols.
- Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files.
- Order and stock necessary supplies.
- Ensure the procedure area remains clean and ready for incoming patients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
- A current BLS certification upon hire.
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of diagnostic cardiovascular or radiologic technology procedures.
- Ability to operate equipment related to your primary specialty.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with patients and staff.
