About the role#
The Audiology Extern works with a mentor under direct supervision. This role provides training and experience to help you prepare for a professional career in audiology.
What you'll do#
- Perform outpatient audiology services under supervision, including audiograms.
- Conduct vestibular testing and administer auditory evoked potentials.
- Assist with hearing aids.
- Present information to audiology team members or leadership as needed.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor of Science degree.
- Completion of 3 years of an accredited Audiology Program.
- You must be working toward or have obtained your ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A).
- Knowledge of audiology techniques and practices.
- Ability to perform basic patient assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and problem-solving abilities.
