About the role#
Pace University is hiring a Facilities Assistant to support operations at the Goldstein Health, Fitness, and Recreation Center and other athletic facilities. This position is open to students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Communications, or Kinesiology. You will work on-site with a flexible schedule, including weekends. Hours are capped at 20 per week during the school term and 35 per week during breaks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily facility maintenance and operations.
- Set up and break down equipment for events.
- Serve as event staff for athletic contests.
- Staff the front desk and monitor the weight room.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations.
- Act as a building supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliability and patience when interacting with visitors.
- Capacity to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
