About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply classroom theory to practical work within the department. You will work under the supervision of a professional to develop skills that support your academic and professional goals. This position requires a defined start and end date, along with a tentative schedule.
What you'll do#
- Apply knowledge learned in your coursework to department projects.
- Complete assigned tasks under the guidance of a professional supervisor.
- Participate in regular feedback sessions to track your professional development.
- Contribute to the specific needs of the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Political Science, Criminal Justice, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks without constant oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A discreet approach when handling confidential information.
- Reliability and patience when interacting with visitors.
Location & details#
- Location: White Plains, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester, or 35 hours per week during intersession and summer breaks.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
