About the role#
Pembina Pipeline is hiring a General Labour Summer Student for their Sherwood Park office. This role reports to the Central Area Foreman and provides hands-on experience in pipeline operations. You will support the team in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operations throughout the summer term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with operations projects, general maintenance, and painting.
- Perform housekeeping duties at Pump Station and Block Valve sites, including grass cutting and weed removal.
- Support daily work activities using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, and Copilot/ChatGPT.
- Follow the Zero by Choice safety culture and adhere to all Life Saving Rules.
- Work in a manner that is safe, trustworthy, respectful, collaborative, and entrepreneurial.
- Contribute to an inclusive workplace by working effectively with others.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform moderate physical work.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driver abstract.
- Strong communication skills, a reliable nature, and a willingness to learn.
- Experience or interest in the energy sector is beneficial.
- Proficiency with equipment like forklifts, bobcats, or manual tools such as weed trimmers is an asset.
- Enrollment in a field of study such as Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Ability to commit to the full 4-month term from May to August 2026.

- Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta.
- Term: Summer 2026 (4-month duration).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Requirements: Must live within 100 km of Sherwood Park. This position is safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, including testing for marijuana metabolites, as well as a criminal record check.
