About the role#
This internship provides field and office experience for students interested in the heavy construction industry. You will work alongside engineers on site-work, road, and environmental projects. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist and prepare Tool Box Safety Talks and daily safety huddles.
- Conduct daily quantity reviews with the superintendent and job foreman.
- Maintain correspondence files, shop drawing logs, and subcontractor logs.
- Assist with purchasing job materials and verifying that correct quantities arrive on site.
- Help develop project look-ahead schedules.
- Manage project documentation, including job records and RFI tracking.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management program.
- An interest in heavy construction such as site-work, roads, or environmental projects.

- This role is based on-site.
- Locations include West Palm Beach, Florida, and Virginia.
