About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Quantitative Analytics team for the summer. You will work alongside our Manager of Quantitative Analytics to gain hands-on experience in the financial services industry. This role involves assisting with key initiatives and provides exposure to model development and quantitative analysis.
What you'll do#
- Interact with various groups across the organization, including credit, risk, accounting, treasury, and IT.
- Apply statistical and modeling techniques to stress credit, market, liquidity, or profitability risk.
- Research academic or industry literature to support new model development.
- Create simulations and analysis to test new models.
- Learn about current market developments across the banking, mortgage, and investment industries.
- Engage with senior leaders across different lines of business.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Ability to review, manipulate, and analyze large, complex data sets.
- Exceptional analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to initiate tasks and follow them through to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must have authorization to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship.
