About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support audit teams within the Digital Assurance and Transparency practice in Miami. You will gain exposure to professional work environments while learning about financial reporting, compliance, and governance frameworks. The role focuses on developing your technical skills and understanding of firm methodologies during the summer of 2028.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams by executing digital assurance tasks.
- Observe experienced auditors to learn about financial reporting and compliance.
- Assist in applying auditing methodologies to improve the accuracy of assessments.
- Conduct research and data analysis for audit projects.
- Evaluate internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with team members to apply compliance standards.
- Build a foundational understanding of cloud engineering in audit processes.
- Communicate project requirements through active listening.
- Accept feedback constructively and maintain a learning mindset.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, or Information Technology.
- Minimum 3.0 overall GPA, with a preference for 3.5.
- Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or CISA licensure before starting full-time employment.
- Standing as a third-year student in a four-year program or fourth-year student in a five-year program.
- Ability to use AI to create efficiencies.
- Strong active listening and communication skills.
