About the role#
The Qnity Operator Internship Program provides hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing. This paid, full-time internship is designed for students currently enrolled in technical associate or chemical operator certificate programs. You will work between 128 and 200 hours over a 10-week period while balancing your academic schedule. Weekends and holidays are off.
What you'll do#
- Operate and monitor complex manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Collect and analyze samples to verify products meet quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot and make corrections to production processes following established procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and drive continuous improvements.
- Participate in shift meetings and training events to support area performance.
- Adhere to company policies, including the Code of Conduct and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a technical associate or chemical operator certificate program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior work experience in an industrial environment, such as manufacturing or warehousing, is preferred.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written professional language.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, coveralls, and hair nets.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs or ladders, and stand for extended periods.
