About the role#
This internship is a partnership between R.D. Offutt Farms and Syngenta. It offers college students a hands-on experience in the agriculture industry. You will work on real projects while learning from industry experts and university faculty. The role covers the full potato production cycle, from seed development to processing. You will also complete an individual agronomy project and present your findings to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist with crop development, soil sampling, and petiole sampling.
- Conduct insect, weed, and disease scouting in the field.
- Complete an individual agronomy project and present your results.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Maintain your work area and care for all equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an approved agriculture program.
- Ability to maintain an acceptable GPA and attendance.
- Strong computer skills and excellent customer service abilities.
- A valid driver license.
- Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

- Location: Wadena, Minnesota.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
