About the role#
As a Vehicle Integration and Test Engineer Intern, you will support the integration and testing of rocket subassemblies. You will work alongside experienced engineers to plan tests, manage build sequences, and maintain documentation. This role offers hands-on exposure to subsystems including structures, fluids, and avionics.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of mBOMs, work orders, and build flows to ensure repeatable product integration.
- Partner with technicians and engineers to resolve integration challenges and deliver high-quality hardware.
- Help establish processes, tools, and documentation for ERP, MES, and QMS systems to support production scaling.
- Work directly with hardware in a team environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
- Hands-on experience from labs, projects, internships, or hardware teams like robotics, rockets, or Formula SAE.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and production teams.
- Initiative and a curious approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with hardware integration, test efforts, or instrumentation setup is helpful.
- Familiarity with aerospace subsystems, such as high-pressure fluids or structures, is a plus.
- Background in documentation or process improvement for manufacturing environments.
