About the role#
This is a paid summer internship program for students pursuing careers in skilled trades and engineering. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside professionals at Rion Equipment. The program combines classroom learning with practical work in our manufacturing facility and shop. We provide mentorship and technical training to help you develop your skills.
What you'll do#
- Build, repair, troubleshoot, and test custom equipment and specialized machinery.
- Assist with projects involving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, machining, fabrication, or welding tasks based on your field of study.
- Learn manufacturing, diagnostic, and repair techniques.
- Participate in technical training and professional development sessions.
- Develop safe work habits and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or graduation prior to the program start.
- Enrollment, or plans to enroll, in an approved program for Diesel Technology, Welding, Machining, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Equipment, or a related trade.
- Strong mechanical aptitude shown through school, hobbies, work, or personal projects.
- A preference for solving problems and working with your hands.
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
