About the role#
The CO-OP Student Sponsorship Program offers students a path to earn an Associate Degree while gaining technical skills through paid tuition, hands-on learning, and mentorship. This program combines classroom instruction with paid summer internships to prepare participants for a career as an equipment technician.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside experienced technicians to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair material handling, construction, and aerial equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Learn diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.
- Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.
- Develop safe work habits and follow company policies.
- Represent the company professionally at work, school, and in the community.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or graduation prior to the program start.
- Enrollment or plans to enroll in an approved Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or related equipment program.
- Strong mechanical aptitude shown through school, hobbies, work, or personal projects.
- A desire to solve problems and work with your hands.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Capability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong attendance record and positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
- Intent to pursue a long-term career with the company after graduation.
