About the role#
This COOP Student Sponsorship program at Rion Equipment combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience. You will earn your degree while training on foundation drilling and construction equipment. The program provides paid tuition, books, required fees, and tools. You will also participate in paid summer internships and receive mentorship from experienced technicians.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair construction and foundation drilling equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine systems.
- Participate in technical training and professional development sessions.
- Build technical skills for a career as an equipment technician.
- Represent the company professionally at work, school, and in your community.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or graduation prior to the program start.
- Current or planned enrollment in an approved Diesel Technology, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Equipment, or related technical program.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A commitment to safety and following company procedures.
- Ability to maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
