About the role#
The Supply & Facilities team maximizes crude oil and condensate production volumes shipped through our terminals and pipelines. As a student in this role, you will support the group's commercial activities and gain hands-on experience with commercial analysis, settlement support, and performance reporting. You will work alongside our Supply & Facilities, Scheduling, Marketing Accounting, and Operations teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing new commercial opportunities, including identifying production sources and optimization upsides.
- Maintain optimization models for Secure Facilities and third-party operators.
- Manage files for volume tracking, pricing, quality equalization, pipeline tariffs, and trucking costs.
- Liaise with the Scheduling group for monthly volume verifications and apportionment management.
- Help the Marketing Accounting group with the monthly settlement process.
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly business performance reports.
- Maintain facility contact distribution lists and support other divisional groups.
- Foster a one-team culture and assist with additional projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program for Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
- Availability to work from May to August.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and a proactive approach to solving challenges.
- High level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is an asset.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
