About the role#
This internship is a full-time position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January through April. You will work on-site in Exeter, New Hampshire, as part of the Industrial Design team within the Research and Development department. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team by compiling research data and gathering reference materials.
- Conduct ergonomic studies based on team guidance.
- Fit and test rapid prototyped parts.
- Incorporate product management specifications into your design concepts.
- Conceptualize and develop products while receiving guidance from senior designers.
- Maintain design standards for color, texture, and innovation.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product commercialization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Design degree program or a related field.
- Developing proficiency in 2D design software and surface modeling in SolidWorks.
- A portfolio that shows your evolving design communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Interest in firearms and outdoor activities is preferred.

- Location: Exeter, New Hampshire.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January-April).
- Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks involving sitting, bending, and reaching. You must wear required personal protective equipment and follow all safety and security procedures.
