About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the News Department at WSTM/CW6/WTVH-TV. It is designed for students preparing for a career in the news industry who want to gain practical knowledge during the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist the News Department team with daily operations.
- Research news stories.
- Support staff during live news broadcasts.
- Shadow reporters and anchors to observe their workflow.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university as a student of mass communications, journalism, or a related field.
- You must be at least 18 years old.

- Ability to work 10-20 hours per week, including some weekends.
