About the role#
Southern New Hampshire University is looking for a student to serve as an Office Assistant for Make-A-Wish in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role supports the mission of creating wishes for children with critical illnesses. You will work alongside staff to manage office operations, volunteer engagement, and donor stewardship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, outreach, and recognition.
- Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records in donor and volunteer databases.
- Create social media content and support community engagement.
- Prepare donor thank-you letters and stewardship communications.
- Support fundraising events including registration, set-up, and follow-up activities.
- Monitor shared email inboxes, answer phones, and manage office inventory.
- Research community organizations and potential partners.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a SNHU degree program.
- Work study as part of your financial aid package.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Majors in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing are preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Manchester, New Hampshire.
- The schedule is flexible, Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- This is a paid, part-time position with an hourly pay range of $13.00 to $15.00.
