About the role#
Starr offers a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in the Property and Casualty insurance industry. You will work within a specific department, such as Claims, Underwriting, Audit, IT, Marketing, or HR, to support business needs and gain experience in a corporate environment.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to core business functions based on your assigned department.
- Participate in an intensive 10-week training program alongside other interns.
- Develop professional skills in areas like networking, communication, and presentations.
- Work with mentors to learn the nuances of the commercial insurance sector.
- Present a final Capstone project that summarizes your key takeaways and knowledge gained during the summer.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current student pursuing a degree.
- We prefer majors in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Computer Science.
- Relevant coursework is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position located on-site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- The internship takes place during Summer 2027.
