About the role#
Starr offers a 10-week summer internship program for students interested in the property and casualty insurance industry. You will work on-site in New York to gain hands-on experience through training and mentorship. The program focuses on professional development, covering skills such as communication and networking while providing insight into career paths within the company.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to core functions including Claims, Underwriting, Audit, IT, Marketing, or HR.
- Support business needs based on your specific departmental assignment.
- Participate in a 10-week training program with other interns.
- Present a final Capstone project that summarizes your key takeaways and skills learned during the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Preference is given to students majoring in Risk Management or Insurance.
- Relevant coursework is preferred.

- Status: Full-time, paid position at $25-$30 per hour.
